While Marvel’s The Mandalorian comic adaptations were less-than-stellar, the manga, while late to the party, offers a much more thrilling retelling. Thanks to art by Yusuke Osawa, the first few volumes have been fun, detailed reimaginations of iconic scenes from the show seen through the black-and-white penciled lens of manga.

It’s no different here in The Mandalorian Manga Volume 4 as it retells the last two-and-a-half episodes of The Mandalorian Season 1. Featuring a high-octane prison escape, the introduction of Moff Gideon, and plenty of fight sequences, Volume 4 is a fun way to recap some of the best scenes from the show before The Mandalorian and Grogu.
